8-month-old Dilek İsmayılova Taleh qızı was born with a severe heart condition called pulmonary atresia. This condition is characterized by a blockage or narrowing of the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, making it life-threatening from birth. Since then, Dilek's life has been a series of complex surgeries and treatments.
Shortly after birth, Dilek underwent a PDA stent procedure at the hospital, which helped maintain proper heart function. At the age of six months, she underwent another major surgery called the Glenn procedure. Although Dilek was discharged home after this surgery, she was readmitted to the hospital a week later due to fluid accumulation in her right lung (chylothorax).
In her battle with this condition, Dilek has had to undergo multiple surgeries. Three surgeries have been performed, along with various medical procedures, including the insertion of a drain into the right pleural cavity and drug treatments. Unfortunately, most of the costs for these recent treatments were not covered by medical insurance, and her family's financial situation is dire.
Dilek's father lives in Balakən and cannot afford the travel expenses to visit his daughter. Currently, Dilek's treatment is continuing at the hospital, and she requires long-term medical care. Given the nature of her illness, further surgeries and medical treatments may be needed.
Every bit of support is crucial to saving Dilek İsmayılova's life. Her family's financial resources are exhausted, and they are relying on the generosity and kindness of others.
